Roommate Policy

When an individual applies to an Emmaus trip and requests Emmaus to assign them a roommate, Emmaus will make every effort to assign you a roommate since, in most cases, there are others on the trip also needing a roommate assigned. Under certain circumstances, it may be necessary to assign you to two roommates, comprising a room of three persons with individual beds. Only in the rarest of occasions is Emmaus not able to accommodate someone with a roommate. If this applies to your individual circumstance you will have the option to pay the single room supplement fee designated for your trip or you may withdraw from the trip prior to 90 days of departure without any financial penalty and receive a full refund. As a matter of policy, Emmaus encourages everyone to find a friend, relative or acquaintance that might want to attend the trip with you as your traveling companion and roommate.

Testimonials

  • "What a wonderful time we all had in Israel. Steve cannot be beat, as you well know. Seeing unplanned sites and doing impromptu excursions was icing on the cake; this can only happen with people like Steve and Slava who know the areas and care about the interests of the group. Both are people with servant-hearts. I learned a great deal more than I had expected, and have a much better understanding of the setting for Christ's birth and the circumstances/environment of his death. I enjoyed the hikes and we were blessed with perfect weather. Size of the group was a bonus; enjoyed lasting fellowship; never felt like I couldn't get close enough to hear what Steve was saying. Steve deserves many kudos for his spiritual insights, his kindness, knowledge, flexibility, sense of humor, and all-round positive attitude. Thank You!"
