DAILY ITINERARY

All overnights are in Migdal except for the final night which is in Jerusalem. Both sessions are virtually the same. The lecture topics and some of the field trip sites differ so as not to be too repetitive for those attending both excavation sessions.

Items to bring with you: hat, work gloves, closed toed shoes (no flip-flops or sandals allowed at the excavation). Over the ankle shoes provide greater stability at the excavation site.

An optional tour of Jerusalem, Masada, Qumran and a swim in the Dead Sea is available at the end of Sessions 1 and 2. This optional tour requires an additional fee. See the Jerusalem and Dead Sea Tour Option link for additional information.

A typical excavation day begins with a 4:30am breakfast. We leave for the excavation at 5:30am and return to our lodging around 12:30pm. Lunch is served at 1:00pm. Dinner is typically at 6:00pm.

Testimonials

  • "This trip was totally awesome! It was everything and more than I had hoped and prayed for. Steve and Wink are so knowledgeable and so good at what they do. God has given them gifts and they use them well. They both are excellent teachers/guides/leaders! They both have many contacts in the land and introduced us to several people that enhanced our stay. We went to so many places and saw so many things. I have a much deeper understanding of the land, its people and its culture. Our accommodations were all very nice and our bus driver was great! We were all very well taken care of. Passion for the land and compassion for group members was very evident by our leaders. I am recommending this trip to everyone I know!"
