 AIRPORT CHECK-IN PROCEDURES:   TURKISH AIRLINES
JFK AIRPORT, TERMINAL 1

TIME:       You should plan to arrive at JFK 3-4 hours prior to your scheduled departure time.
BRING:     Your passport.

TICKET:   Your ticket is an e-Ticket (electronic ticket). You only need your passport at check-in to receive your boarding passes for departure. You will receive your e-ticket confirmation number approximately 15 days to departure.

CHECK-IN:   There is no formal "group check-in" at JFK. Upon arrival at JFK you are free to check-in as an individual passenger.

SEATING:   Please note that there is no online access for seat assignment changes with "group" tickets. If you wish to submit a seat request (Aisle, Window, etc.) to Emmaus, you may do so. Emmaus will pass this information on to the airline group reservation desk. All seat requests must be received 60 days prior to your scheduled departure date.

BOARDING PASSES:   Your boarding passes will be issued at check-in.

FREQUENT FLYER MILES:  Request your frequent flyer miles at JFK check in. Turkish Airlines is a member of the Star Alliance group: http://www.staralliance.com/en/member-airlines

SECURITY CHECK:   It is a good idea to review the TSA web site for travel restrictions pertaining to carry-on luggage. http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm.

AIRLINE LUGGAGE RESTRICTIONS:   Airline luggage restrictions are as follows: (a) You are allowed one suitcase per person at no charge. (b) Your suitcase cannot exceed 62 inches (length + width + height). (c) Your suitcase cannot exceed 50 lbs. (d) In addition and at no charge, you may bring one carry-on bag. Your carry-on bag is not to exceed 9" x 14" x 22". (e) Other items approved for carry-on include 1 purse or briefcase or laptop computer or one item of similar or smaller size than those listed. Pack smart. There will be times in Israel when you are responsible to manage your own luggage. NOTE: Because of limited luggage storage space on your touring bus, it is requested that you bring one primary suitcase but not a second suitcase as your airline carry-on.

AIRLINE MEALS:   If you have a special meal request, please send your request to Emmaus no later than 60 days prior to your scheduled departure date.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:   You will receive your e-ticket confirmation number approximately 30 days prior to departure.

Testimonials

  • "The program was excellent and I will recommend it highly for anyone who wishes to tour Israel. Wink, you and Steve did a superb job of planning and organizing the tour, and your guidance throughout was fantastic. You both showed enormous concern for our safety and health. I appreciated the interesting way in which you integrated information about the geography, topography, history, archaeology, religions, and social dynamics of the region. Your presentations were scholarly, very interesting, and infused with good humor! I also appreciated your flexibility of plans which allowed us to tour places not on the original itinerary. Lodging and meals were very good, and the service at the hotels was friendly and very good. All of the fascinating field trips and your presentations along the way have really deepened my understanding of Scripture. Almost any book I turn to in the Bible now speaks of a place we have walked through or at least viewed. It is very exciting! Thank you again for making this wonderful adventure possible for our group."
