In the Master's Steps through Judea, Samaria and Galilee
A Study in New Testament Backgrounds
January 5-18, 2019

Nyack College and ATS invite you to join the 2019 Winterim study course to the Holy Land. Our journey is a study of the physical, historical and cultural setting of the land of the Bible in days of the New Testament. We will give particular attention to how these elements influenced and affected the world in which Jesus lived. The study trip is a focus on historical geography, which is an integration of geography, history, archaeology and ancient literature. Preparatory assigned readings and map studies will maximize the student's learning experience during their travel from Dan to Beersheba and beyond. Relevant archaeological, historical, and biblical information will be presented in our field study to integrate the student's learning experience.

Nyack College students can earn BIB, HIS or ANT credit with Dr. Garcia.
NYCATS students can earn NT504 credit with Dr. Notley or TH605 credit with Dr. DeCaro.

Testimonials

  • "My trip to Israel in May was one of the highlights of my life. To see the immensity of the stones of the walls of Jerusalem, to pray at the Wailing Wall, and to imagine the crowds that pressed in to Jesus made me want to press even closer to Him myself! The wonderful teaching offered by our leaders, (Steve, Marc, Wink) brought much more than just knowledge for its own sake. Their teaching brought the Life and Love of our Lord Jesus into a clear focus. Because of their vibrant teaching and the many glorious places we visited that were often "off the beaten path", such as the Emmaus Road, I didn't just visit Israel...I EXPERIENCED Israel!"
