FLIGHTS -- NON STUDENTS ONLY

NON-STUDENTS ONLY

Participants on this trip who are not students of Nyack College are to purchase their own roundtrip tickets to and from Israel. It is recommended that you purchase roundtrip tickets on the same flights as those being used by the students. The student flights are not available at this time. As non-students you do have the option to book flights other than those used by the students. However, if you elect not to travel on the recommended flights, you must arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV; Tel Aviv) no later than the scheduled arrival flight used by the students. The touring bus will depart TLV Airport approximately one hour after the student flight has landed. It takes approximately 1 hour to complete airport formalities.

Whether you plan to make flight reservations on the student flights or deviate from the student flights, do not purchase any airline tickets until Emmaus gives clearance to do so. Note: All non-students are required to consult with Emamus prior to making any airline ticket purchase.

Once you have purchased your roundtrip tickets, please email a copy of your complete roundtrip flight itinerary to Emmaus.

(2) If you are arriving at JFK by a connecting flight and plan to join the student flight, please allow 1.5 hours for your transfer to the student flight.

IF YOU ARE NOT TAKING THE STUDENT FLIGHT FROM JFK

If you are not flying on the student flights to Israel but plan to meet the group at TLV airport on January 5, please note the following. Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) follow the people exiting the plane. Many are locals or seasoned travelers to Israel. Your first stop will be Passport Control. There you will receive a small paper Visa. Keep that document. After Passport Control is Baggage Claim. While in Baggage Claim it is recommended you exchange $100 for incidental personal expenses. After Baggage Claim is the Arrival Hall Lobby.

WHERE TO MEET THE GROUP AT TLV AIRPORT

When you enter the Arrival Hall Lobby go to the RIGHT where you will find some seating. Remain in the vicinity of the seating until you have met the group leader (Dr. Steve Notley). All participants will leave from this area to begin the touring. Please be in the designated seating area once the student flight has landed.

IF YOUR FLIGHT IS DELAYED ARRIVING AT TLV

If you experience a flight delay that will jeopardize your opportunity to meet the group at TLV airport for the tour bus departure, please be in contact with Emmaus or Dr. Notley by email, text or phone in order to coordinate your arrival.

 TAXI TO THE HOTEL

If you find it necessary to take a taxi to the hotel, the cost is approximately $200-$250 USD. Directly in front of you when you enter the Arrival Hall Lobby and over the main door is a sign that says "Taxi" – exit there. Once outside walk about 75 yards to the LEFT until you see a "Taxi” booth and the attendant. See the taxi attendant for your taxi to your hotel. The taxi attendant will assign you a taxi and give you the exact cost. All private taxis are 4-door sedans and WHITE in color. Do not hail a taxi or accept a taxi solititation from a taxi driver. Go to the attendant for your taxi. Pay the driver upon arrival at the hotel. Here is your hotel information. Isrotel Ramon Inn, 1 Ein Akev St., Mitzpeh Ramon, Israel. Testimonials

  • "Our trip to the Holy Land is one that I will always remember. It was the most beautiful place that I have ever seen. Dr. Emanuel was our Moses and he actually made the Bible come to life. Before we would tour a site he would give us the scriptures relating to that site which made our tour even more enlightening. His teaching was informal. During our tour Dr. Emanuel made us feel like a big family, and he was one of us. We were truly blessed to have Dr. Emanuel as our Emmaus instructor."
