Dear Fort Friends and Family,
For the past several years you have heard me teach on biblical archaeology at the Fort or at churches or colleges. You have seen my many photographs of ancient biblical sites in ancient Israel and have heard me explain how they relate to the Bible. Because of your interest the Fort sponsored a trip to Israel in October of 2019 with 40 participants. It was a great experience for everyone. Many said it was the best trip of their life. Others said it was life changing. We were all blessed by our fellowship and came home with a fresh understanding of Scripture.
Now that we are back sharing our 2019 Israel experience, many are now asking "When is the Fort going to have another trip to Israel"?
I am happy and excited to announce that the Fort will again sponsor a trip to Israel, May 15-26, 2021. You are invited to journey with us to experience the biblical sites and the cultures of our Bible for yourself.
Dr. Steve Notley will serve as our guide. He is not only a wonderful leader, teacher and author who has a passion for participants to know God, but he lived and studied in Israel for sixteen years. Steve is a professor of Biblical Studies at the New York City campus of Nyack College and is a gifted teacher who will explain many academic and spiritual applications as we visit biblical sites throughout Israel. Emmaus Educational Services will be managing the administrative aspects of the trip.
The Fort leadership and I are very excited to offer this unique travel and ministry opportunity to you. I hope and pray you will be able to journey with us to fellowship and study our Bible in the land that Jesus called home.
Please note that before making the trip available to the public the Fort received many inquiries regarding another Israel trip. Given this high interest, you are advised to submit the Emmaus online application as soon as your circumstances allow. Space is limited to 50 persons.
In His Service,
Director of Education
